How is MODEC structured?
MODEC is structured into three phases: COMMISSION – Participants thoroughly examine the subject, uncovering underlying causes and consequences to establish a well-founded discussion. COUNCIL – Diplomatic dialogues and negotiations unfold as participants collaborate to formulate realistic and actionable solutions. SUMMIT – All proposed strategies undergo meticulous evaluation. Participants reach final agreements, shaping collective actions for lasting progress.
Why should I participate?
Within the halls of MODEC, you will take on the role of a diplomat, maneuvering through the complexities of international affairs. This is more than just a simulation—it’s a chance to gain insight into diverse viewpoints, sharpen analytical thinking, and enhance your ability to present well-reasoned arguments. You will also develop essential leadership skills, learning to guide discussions, foster collaboration, and drive meaningful solutions. The expertise you build in research, oratory, negotiation, and leadership extends beyond the event, equipping you for any academic or professional pursuit. What is the conference’s dress code?
All delegates must wear formal attire throughout the conference, as casual clothing of any kind is strictly forbidden. Male participants are expected to wear formal suits in all sessions. Female participants may wear pants or skirts, provided they pair them with long underlayers. However, short-sleeved tops, low-cut shirts, and skirts that do not fully cover the knees are strictly prohibited in accordance with the conference’s dress code.
